Registration

Tentative (This page is subject to change as the AMR Conference Committee continues to iron out details)

Registration Deadline was June 23, 2014.  Online Registration Is CLOSED.  The Registration Fee is for both days of the conference (Thursday, June 26th & Friday, June 27th).  There are no single day rates.  “Walk ins” and registered attendees that submit payment “after the deadline” will not be turned away, but cannot be processed online, must be paid by a check, money order or cash (brought to the conference) and may not be guaranteed all amenities.  Refunds will not be honored after the deadline. Bottom line, please register and pay before the deadline so we can plan accordingly and not have to chase anyone down.  These measures help keep costs affordable for all.  🙂

Instructions (please read carefully): Click on the links (in green) below to help you register to attend the conference, exhibit and/or register for pre-conference activities.  You will be taken to the “EPCAMR store” to add registration items from this page.  Once you have selected an item you may return to this page to add additional items to your online shopping cart.  Tip:  Please do not use your browsers “Back” button in the store, as it can delete the order you are building. Once you are done, go through the checkout to view your items and finish the registration process.  You may stop there to pay by check / money order and send in your printed registration via snail mail.   OR… Continue and use our online payment gateway to pay with paypal, credit or debit card (payment and registration is processed quicker).

Extra-Conference Activities (Thursday, June 26th 12PM – 5PM)

Golf Outing – $60.00

Golf Outing Attendees are expected to provide their own transportation to the Golf Course, Mountain View Country Club (<— link provided for directions), conveniently located four miles from the hotel .  Golf Outing registration will include green fees and golf cart, but does not include golf club rental.

Trip to Penns Cave  – $40.00

Boxed Lunch will be provided for both activities and admittance to the activity.  Proceeds from both extra activities will benefit EPCAMR and WPCAMR non-profit organizations and programs.  Transportation will be provided to Penns Cave ONLY.

Regular Registration – $80.00
Non-profit & Gov’t Registration – $40.00 (must meet requirements)

Exhibitors (Thursday, June 26th 7AM to Friday, June 27th 5PM)

Exhibits do not come with a complementary registration.  

Jumbo Exhibit – $400.00 (~54 sq. ft. area)
Large Exhibit – $300.00 (~36 sq. ft. area)
Standard Exhibit – $200.00 (~18 sq. ft area)
Non-Profit Exhibit – FREE standard space for Non-Profits, Watershed Associations, & the Conference Planning Committee (as space permits, first come, first serve). Please contact Anne Daymut at 724-832-3625, anne@wpcamr.org for availability and location placement for your display or exhibit needs.

Lodging

We are not handling lodging this year. However, discounted block room rates have been negotiated with the Ramada Inn and Conference Center ($79.00 + taxes) for Wednesday, June 25th  & Thursday, June 26th.  Guests may make reservations by contacting the hotel directly at 814-238-3001 and identifying the block of rooms held for the “PA AMR Conference”.  Please confirm with Ramada staff that you are getting the correct rate, they notified us that a computer glitch is causing some rooms to be charged at a higher rate.

Lodging Deadline to book rooms was May 26th.  Reservations made after this date will be provided on a rate and space available basis according to the Ramada.

Scholarships

Travel scholarships, to be reimbursed for hotel stay only (at above stated rates and dates), and may be offered in whole or part to members of non-profit community / watershed organizations and conservation districts in Pennsylvania or adjoining states.  Mileage and other travel costs are not being considered this year.  The PA AMR Conference Committee reserves the right to award scholarships on demonstrated need, distance, and availability of funding.  We have extended the scholarship request deadline until June 9th.  Scholarship awardees will be notified following this deadline.

Scholarship awardees will be responsible to make their own reservation by the lodging deadline (stated above).  Upon leaving the conference the base room rate should be charged to the PA AMR Conference Master account (If it is not, the AMR Conference Committee will reimburse you via check after the Conference with proof of purchase for the base room rate).  The PA AMR Conference Planning Committee will be providing the Ramada a list of scholarship awardees.  You will be required to place your credit card on your room with the Ramada for extras and incidentals (i.e. telephone, pay-per-view, room service, and etc.), which are not the responsibility of the PA AMR Conference Committee, as the scholarship is only for the room.  Cancellation of the room  less than 24 hours prior to stay or “no shows” will also not be the responsibility of the PA AMR Conference Committee and will be billed to the contact information provided on the scholarship application form.

A second scholarship is available as a 1/2 price break on the regular registration to non-profits as well (i.e. $40 instead of $80).  Both are case by case committee decisions and may take time for a consensus, please plan ahead.  There will be no reimbursement forms this year as there will be no “up front” cost to the scholarship awardees.

Continuing Education Credits

Professional development hours will be offered and certificates will be presented by the PA AMR Conference Planning Committee (specifically for professional geologists, engineers and surveyors). Attendees that wish to participate may ask for the paperwork at the registration desk.  Credit hours will be assessed upon time of departure and approved via an authorized signature.  Presenters at the Conference are eligible to receive additional credits beyond attending sessions at the Conference.
